Description
'Cammie', a young camel whose front leg was chopped off as a punishment, has been taught by an animal shelter in Karachi to walk with a prosthetic leg. Cammie's leg was allegedly severed by a landowner after she entered his field in search of fodder. The animal shelter which then took her into their care acquired a prosthetic leg from a US-based firm so she could walk on all fours again. "I started weeping when I saw her walking with the prosthetic leg. It was a dream come true," its manager Sheema Khan says. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
