Trade industry visitors to the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) say their sector is working on tackling the challenges posed by the US President Donald Trump's trade tariffs on China, including expanding domestic market and relocating operations.
"Everyone will still have concerns about the escalation of this trade conflict, including cooling and re-escalation," an official at a provincial overseas Chinese federation, Wang Yanzhi, tells AFP.
"Many of our friends are also trying to find ways to serve the domestic demand market well. They will also want to go overseas and expand their own industries, so as to make this market more stable," he adds. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
