Description
Researchers from the Technical University of Munich test, for the first time in Marseille, an autonomous diving robot capable of detecting and retrieving waste independently, a technology its designers describe as "revolutionary". Artificial intelligence analyzes objects on the seabed using ultrasound and cameras, grabs them, and brings them to the surface. "Thanks to our fully automated solution, we can work much longer. We can also go much deeper, and even into places potentially too dangerous for divers," explains Bart De Schutter, coordinator of the SeaClear project.
