Description
"Everyone needs an inside man."
That's the tagline for the new crime thriller TV show on Max — soon to be rebranded as its original name, HBO Max.
"Duster" follows Nina Hayes (Rachel Hilson), the FBI's first Black woman agent, who travels to Phoenix in the 1970s to take down a crime syndicate boss (Keith David), extorting his getaway driver (Josh Holloway) in the process.
Hilson ("This Is Us," "Love, Victor") noted creative liberties were taken in the series since the first Black female FBI agent didn't join until 1976 because Black women still weren't allowed to join in 1972.
New episodes of "Duster" are released Thursdays through July 3 on Max.
