Federal spending reviews and budget cuts in Washington, D.C. are being felt in Indiana, and the latest casualty is training for Indiana firefighters.
At least 120 firefighters scheduled to attend advanced training courses have been informed their classes are canceled, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, and high-level training for thousands of other firefighters is now on hold.
