Description
Ashley Farquharson fell in love with luge during a sixth grade afterschool program, and she never looked back.
"I am literally a professional sledder," Farquharson said. "I get to do something that I really love. Every year, I come back, and it is still just as fun."
Farquharson made her first national team at 20 years old. She's 25 years old now and is an Olympian with Team USA.
"I was lucky enough to compete in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing," Farquharson said. "A lot of people think that you're just lying there, and the sled is taking you down. We actually have quite a lot of steering power, as well as being fastest and the most dangerous of the sliding sports."
