A 20-year-old Madison County man was sentenced after he pleaded guilty of having a machine gun inside Castleton Square Mall in December 2023. Octavious Reid, of Ingalls, Indiana, took a plea agreement in two cases out of Marion County. He pleaded guilty to: possession of a machine gun, escape, auto theft and resisting law enforcement. As part of the plea agreement, the following charges were dismissed: obstruction of justice, two counts of resisting law enforcement and possession of marijuana.
