The Gulf Coast continues to dig out after this week's historic winter storm that brought record-breaking snow and ice to several southern states. For example, New Orleans received more than 9 inches of snow — easily surpassing its single-day snow record. Since snowfall is so rare in the South, many of these states aren't equipped with plows or salt. Despite being nearly 900 miles away, Sherco Group, out of Sheridan, sent 14 plows to New Orleans to help out.
