IMPD re-arrested an 18-year-old who was shot inside Castleton Square Mall two days before Christmas, and now, the Marion County Prosecutor's Office has filed charges.
Aaron McClure was initially arrested on a preliminary charge of felony intimidation with a deadly weapon for his alleged involvement in the shooting. Police told 13News he is not believed to be the shooter, though.
On Dec. 30, the Marion County Prosecutor's Office said, "The State does not intend to file any charges against the defendant at this time."
On Jan. 8, IMPD North District confirmed officers re-arrested McClure for his alleged role in the shooting at the mall.
"Detectives identified additional evidence including the identification of the alleged victim of the intimidation," IMPD wrote in a release posted on social media.
Later that evening, the Marion County Prosecutor's Office officially charged McClure with felony intimidation.
