Description
A Greenfield family is using the holidays to remember their loved one who was killed by gun violence. They have put out a remembrance tree for other families to come and honor their loved ones as well.
"He loved Christmas [and] Thanksgiving. Christmas was his favorite holiday," Patricia Doughtry, Jeff Herald's mom, said.
Herald isn't here to celebrate any more. He died three years ago, after a shooting on the west side of Indianapolis.
But he's still part of the family's holiday celebrations, with a new tradition. This is the second year they've put up a remembrance tree.
