Royal Caribbean is raising its automatic gratuity rates for cruises. Those rates will go up to 50 cents per person. This means for suite passengers, the recommended rate will be $21 a day and a rate of $18.50 for non-suite passengers. Gratuities are divided among crew members, including dining, bar, culinary, hotel services and stateroom attendants. The increase takes effect Nov. 1.
