The dog was shot and killed on Thursday, Aug. 1 by an IMPD officer, and the shooting was captured by a doorbell camera. Police were called to the near northeast Indianapolis home near 23rd and Adams streets, which is near North Sherman Drive, for a domestic disturbance. The doorbell camera video shows two dogs run out of the house as three officers stand outside the front door. One of them was Debo. When Debo ran toward one officer, the officer drew his handgun and shot Debo.
