The father of a murdered 3-month-old boy has been sentenced to 92 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder and attempted murder. Jacob Moneus was murdered by his father, Eliasard Moneus, on Aug. 10, 2024. Eliasard pleaded guilty on May 15 at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse in Lafayette. He confessed to murdering his son, Jacob, who he stuffed into a bucket after beating his wife with a tire iron the morning he killed his son.
