Description
The City of Indianapolis is taking another step toward affordable housing.
On Tuesday, July 29, city leaders and neighbors gathered on the near north side for a groundbreaking.
They say this signifies a chance for neighbors to turn their lives around with a place to call their own.
Mayor Joe Hogsett was at today's groundbreaking for Central at 29, alongside the Department of Metropolitan Development.
It will be a new four-story development at 29th Street and Central Avenue, with 11 units set aside for people "emerging from homelessness."
