The Reno Police Department released bodycam footage of a shooting outside of Grand Sierra Resort that killed three people and injured three others. On July 28, gunfire broke out before 7:30 a.m. near the valet area of the Grand Sierra Resort (GSR), a major venue that draws thousands for concerts, sporting events and tourism just outside downtown Reno. When officers arrived, the suspect fired at officers, striking a patrol vehicle. The suspect was ultimately taken into custody and hospitalized after being shot by responding officers.
