“Social Distancing” is the notice that stands as the reason for closure at the entrance to Maryland’s Sandy Point State Park on the first full day of Maryland’s stay-at-home order, Tuesday March 31, 2020. The stay-at-home order issued by the Governor of Maryland due to the COVID-19 (Corona virus) outbreak required all non-essential businesses to close and limited the public to trips to the grocery store or for medical reasons.
