Legend of jazz guitar John McLaughlin plays for Palestine John McLaughlin, the 72-year-old legend of jazz guitar and pioneer of fusion, played a concert in Ramallah on Wednesday to support a Palestinian NGO that uses music and artistic therapy to help people affected by the Israeli occupation and societal marginalization. The veteran musician, who played with the late jazz trumpeter Miles Davis and who has spent much of his career fusing Indian and Western music, is on the final leg of an Asia tour that took him to Japan and India.
