Liberia: HIV medication being used to try and treat Ebola New methods to try and stem the Ebola epidemic are being tested on a regular basis in Liberia. One doctor in the city of Tubmanburg, G. Logan Gorbee, has been using a drug originally intended to treat AIDS in the fight against the virus - and he says the results have been positive. Medical experts are cautious, yet not totally opposed to such experimental treatments. Meanwhile, the US military and Liberian army are building an Ebola treatment unit in the city.
