Nigeria puts new army recruits to the test with British help More than 6,000 recruits are put through their paces at the Nigerian Army Depot training facility in the Northern city of Zaria. Some 150,000 applications were received just to get this far. The basic training includes physical fitness and special instruction from British soldiers as part of a partnership with the Nigerian Army.
