Kenyan LGBT groups 'up in arms' over Lesbian film ban A Kenyan-made film on lesbian love will break new ground when it premieres at the Cannes festival this week -- but at home, the movie has been banned, a decision exposing the often bitter debate over homosexuality in East Africa. Waruguru Gaitho, a lawyer for a Kenyan LGBT rights group, says it is "up in arms" about the ban, and says that the issue of gay and lesbian rights must be "humanised" in order for progress to be made.
