Description
Former Calais migrant camp now nature preserve Seagulls, dune grass, and bunkers dating from the Second World War overlooking the sea: this is the landscape that used to be home to some 10,000 illegal migrants stuck in Calais with hopes of crossing to Great Britain. Now that the notorious makeshift migrant camp has been cleared, workers have transformed it into a nature preserve, with little trace of its former inhabitants. IMAGES and FILE IMAGES
