Johan Sverdrup aims to produce 30% of Norway's oil Johan Sverdrup oilfield, located 160 kilometres off the coast of Norway, produces more than 300,000 barrels of oil per day. Arne Sigve Nylund, executive vice president of development and production for Equinor in Norway tells AFP that when production at Johan Sverdrup reaches its peak, it will represent approximately 25-30 percent of Norway’s total oil production.
