London mayor Sadiq Khan hails the Euro 2020, whose semi-finals and final are being played in the British capital, as a "huge success" despite the lack of international visitors due to Covid restrictions and announces a new initiative which will see Londoners being offered the chance to watch the final at Wembley stadium if they book a vaccination appointment, in a bid to encourage "as many Londoners as possible" to get the jab. In an interview with AFP, he also expresses "concern" at the government’s plans to lift most of England's coronavirus restrictions, including face masks and social distancing, from July 19.
