It took almost two months for rope technicians, who worked around the clock, to wrap the Arc de Triomphe as the artists Christo and Jean-Claude had dreamed of, with 25,000 square metres of bluish-silver fabric and 3,000 metres of rope, for its inauguration on 16 September.
