Description
The "Conakry Express" train, which connects the Guinean capital to its suburbs and transports thousands of people every day, resumes operations after a ten month break. The service was interrupted in January to allow the Russian group Rusal to make up for a delay in the delivery of bauxite shipments. One passenger says that the train's absence "was very bad for us", citing the high price of taxis and Conakry's gridlocked roads. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
