Description
It is normally a joyous season, but in tornado-blasted Kentucky thousands of families are in crisis days before Christmas, including that of 13-year-old Andrew Humphrey, who says "I'm not really worried about Christmas or presents like that, I'm worried about getting a home," after his house in Dawson Springs was completely flattened out by Kentucky's worst tornado on record. Nearby, fellow resident Ginny Watts stands outside her destroyed home, still hoping to be able to turn next week's Christmas into a "special" day for her four-year-old daughter, while shelters are gathering toys "to give joy to the children," as the youth services director of the local school Jonathon Storms tells AFP.
