Description
The scaffolding that has enveloped the Elizabeth Tower - nicknamed Big Ben - in Westminster, is finally starting to come down to reveal the tower's cleaned and fully restored clock faces. Renovation work on the world-famous landmark began in 2017 and some visitors to London have been left sorely disappointed when they realised not only could they not see the tower, but also they couldn’t hear the famous bong of Big Ben on the hour. The work is expected to be fully completed by spring 2022. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
