Description
Brazil's president Jair Bolsonaro congratulates the Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga on the "Doctors for Brazil" program that has hired its first 500 healthcare professionals. The program replaces the "Mas Medicos" programme under which Cuba sent more than 8,000 doctors to work in Brazil between 2013 and 2018. Bolsonaro had compared "Mas Medicos" to "slavery," to which Havana responded by withdrawing its doctors from Brazil. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
