Description
As leaders of Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia meet in Havana, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel accuses the US of "hegemonic and anti-democratic practises" in response to Washington's decision to exclude some Latin American countries from the upcoming Summit of the Americas, to be held in June in Los Angeles, California. US President Joe Biden has described the June 6-10 summit, being held in the United States for only the second time, as an opportunity to champion democracy over authoritarianism and has not invited the leaders of Cuba, Venezuela or Nicaragua.
