On the occasion of World Environment Day, volunteers gather and sort data on the microplastic and rubbish content collected on Cyprus' first two plastic-free beaches. The data and statistics, gathered on a 100m2 surface, will be sent to the European Environment Agency, via the 'Marine LitterWatch' project, to support environmental management processes, environmental policymaking and assessment, as well as citizen participation.
