A Moscow court orders journalist Marina Ovsyannikova to pay a fine for 'discrediting' the Russian army. Moscow's Meshchansky district court said that Ovsyannikova, a former editor at state-controlled Channel One, should pay a fine of 50,000 rubles ($783). Her lawyer, Dmitri Zakhvatov, said she was detained because she was suspected of having "discredited" the army in remarks outside a Moscow court in support of opposition activist Ilya Yashin, who is accused of spreading false information about the army. Ovsyannikova shot to prominence for interrupting a live TV broadcast to denounce Russia's military action in Ukraine. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
