Description
Residents of the Al-Jarrahi district in Yemen's war-ravaged western province of Hodeida continue to suffer the consequences of heavy rain in the region. "My grandson had nowhere to sleep; and there was nowhere to bake bread," says Hamed resident Jamalah Youssef, standing outside her thatched hut. "We had nothing left, not even clothes," she adds. Torrential rain has been lashing the country and its environs, causing flooding and building collapse throughout the summer. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
