In the middle of the night, on the slopes of the Vercors massif, members of the French Office of Biodiversity howl into cones in the hope the wolves living on the slopes will answer them. The operation aims to estimate the presence of new packs and to evaluate the reproduction on the sector, after breeders reported to have seen several predators prowling not far from their flocks.
