Another terminal at Singapore's Changi Airport re-opened on Tuesday after it was closed for two years during the pandemic.
Changi Airport's Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 were closed in May 2020 as passenger traffic plummeted due to travel restrictions. Some operations resumed at Terminal 2 in May.
On Tuesday, Terminal 4 reopened as the city-state sees air travel picking up.
From April to June of this year, the airport's total passenger traffic totalled 7.33 million -- 43.6% of pre-covid levels, according to the Changi Airport Group.
Singapore fully reopened its borders to all vaccinated visitors in April after a two-year coronavirus shutdown.
The aviation hub, a financial centre and gateway for people arriving in Asia, lifted most of its strict virus curbs this year as it shifted to living with Covid-19. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
