Rather than mixing his paints on a palette, Venezuelan painter Oswaldo Vigas (1923-2014) mixed his colours directly on a table in his studio, kept intact by his family after his death and rarely reopened. Vigas, whose work is exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, has become the first Venezuelan artist to have a catalogue raisonne, a complete accounting of his output.
