Description
At the Munich Security Conference, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says that there are "lessons" to be learnt from Russia's near-year-long invasion of Ukraine, and urges ongoing support for Kyiv to avoid the "tragedy" of a win for President Putin in the conflict. Stoltenberg also warns that a Russian victory would embolden other authoritarian regimes around the world, singling out China. "We know that Beijing is watching closely the war in Ukraine, because if President Putin wins there, it will impact the calculations and decisions they will make in Beijing," he says.
