Description
At least two people have died in the suburbs of Conakry during clashes between demonstrators and members of the Guinean security forces, despite a ban on all rallies by the ruling junta. The National Front for the Defense of the Constitution (FNDC), a rights group, had called for demonstrations to demand the release of three of its leaders and any prisoners held for what it said were political reasons, as well as a swift return to civilian rule.
