Description
Outdoor naps in 5°C, knife lessons and lunch over a wood fire... In northern Europe, some pre-schools are moving their education to the open air. At two "forest kindergartens" in Sweden and Denmark, educators insist that the children are finding the change of scenery to be a breath of fresh air. "I think it’s necessary for them to be one with nature at a young age" says a parent at one preschool in Sweden, while a parent at a forest kindergarten in Denmark says "it's a great gift for these children to be able to run freely".
