Description
The Plastic Odyssey ship, which left France for a three-year world tour, made a stop in the port of Dakar to propose solutions to the problem of plastic pollution. On the ship, 13 Senegalese entrepreneurs were shown easy-to-make and patent-free recycling machines. Abdoul Bakhy Mbacke, who attended the training, founded a waste collection and recycling company: "Everything we do today should have been done by the state. But that doesn't discourage us. This is our Senegal." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
