An Olympic Test Centre for French tech group Atos opens in Madrid, planned to be the technological hub for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The hub will handle all the technological aspects of the Games, from the management of the 500,000 people accredited to the collection and dissemination of sports results in real time to international media. "What we are most concerned about would be a cyberattack that could suspend or have a strong prejudice on the competitions" says the technology director for the Games, adding "we have already set up surveillance centres to find out what is going on, but also prevention and anticipation".
