In London's Camden, locals react to the death of the Smiths bassist Andy Rourke, whose pounding rhythms underscored some of the most influential albums in British music history, at the age of 59. "I'm really sad to hear that he's dead," says Stephanie Griffith, who lives in Camden. The Smiths used to play at the Dingwalls in Camden and the music is still played in many pubs in the area, including The Good mixer. "If you go round the pubs around Camden, all the jukeboxes have The Smiths on it, and it's often played...He'll never be forgotten," says Mike Ward from London. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
