Description
Supporters of Donald Trump gather outside Drake Enterprises, a machining manufacturer in Clinton Charter Township, Michigan, ahead of a speech by the former president just one day after Joe Biden made history as the first US president to join a picket line. "It’s a photo-op. It’s a pretend," says Samantha Strayer, a Trump supporter in line for the event, of Biden's move, adding that Trump "being here with the workers in Macomb County is the place to be." Another supporter, Nancy Prince, says she's happy Donald Trump isn't participating in the GOP event, explaining that "he’s wasting his time, so he’s here for the people". Near the venue, a handful of people protest Trump's visit. One of them, Donna Stern says "I don’t think Biden is the answer either for workers, in as much as the only thing that’s going to win is independent organizing." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
