People in Jerusalem gathered on Monday in Safra Square to attend an installation of 230 beds called "Empty Beds" representing the number of Israeli hostages held by Palestinian militants since the 7 October attack, placed outside the Jerusalem Municipality building. The hostages, aged from a few months to over 80, are believed to be held in a network of underground tunnels where Hamas has hidden its military infrastructure from Israeli surveillance and air strikes.
