Description
Ukrainian teenagers are awarded the 2023 Children’s Peace Prize for their work supporting refugee children fleeing war. Sofia Tereshchenko, Anastasiia Feskova and Anastasiia Demchenko developed apps to help young people find safety and settle in countries they have fled to. Aged 18, 17 and 17, Sofia, Anastasiia and Anastasiia are the latest young changemakers to win the most important and prestigious youth prize in the world, following in the footsteps of previous laureates Greta Thunberg and Malala Yousafzai. “It’s a big honour,” says Sofia Tereshchenko who accepted the award alongside Anastasiia Feskova and - virtually - Anastasiia Demchenko at the ceremony at the Palace of Whitehall in London.
