Description
Patients with cholera and those suspected of having the disease are treated at a local clinic in Kuwadzana, a densely-populated area of the Zimbabwean capital, Harare. On Friday, authorities announced a state of emergency over a resurgence of the disease that has affected all provinces in Zimbabwe's south. "In Harare 13 lives have been lost" says Douglas Mombeshora, the country's Health Minister, who adds that "more than 50 percent" of those occurred in Kuwadzana. "There is a lot a raw sewage and this triggers the spread" explains Pamela Magorimbo, a resident of the neighbourhood. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
