A Ugandan woman aged 70 gave birth to twins on Wednesday at a medical facility in the capital Kampala, where she had received fertility treatment. "When I had a checkup, they told me I had twins. I was very happy." Safina Namukwaya tells AFP at the Women's Hospital International and Fertility Centre. "Age is just a number. A young woman can also die of complications from pregnancy." Doctor Edward Tamale Sali, who supervised her pregnancy and delivery says, adding that "an old woman, if she is fit, can also survive." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
