Description
French actress Isabelle Isabelle Adjani was sentenced in absentia in Paris to a two-year suspended prison sentence and a €250,000 fine for tax fraud and money laundering. "If Isabelle Adjani, who has always maintained her innocence, does not ask to be judged more favourably than others, there is no reason why she should be judged less favourably," says one of her lawyers, Olivier Pardo. "It is therefore with confidence and determination that we will ask her to appeal this decision immediately". The artist was found guilty of fraudulently taking up residence in Portugal in 2016 and 2017, passing off a donation of two million euros as a loan and transferring 120,000 euros through an undeclared US account.
