Visiting Warsaw for the first time since the appointment of the new pro-European government, the European Commissioner for Values and Transparency, Vera Jourova, says "I welcome very much that the new government wants to radically change course and work together to advance". The Vice-President of the European Commission hopes to close the Article 7 procedure against Poland for failure to respect the rule of law before the end of the Commission's mandate in June 2024.
