Morocco has fallen down the global corruption rankings of Transparency International, the NGO says, labelling graft a "threat to the stability" of the country. The North African kingdom ranks 97th worldwide in Transparency's 2023 report on perceived levels of public sector corruption across 180 countries, dropping three places from 2022 and 24 places in five years.
