Over the past three years, some 400,000 meals have been saved from going to the bin at the Paris suburb of Courbevoie. An impressive figure that sparked the interest of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN FAO) whose experts made the trip to study the city's methods for combatting food waste in supermarkets, restaurants and hotels.
